Last Friday Gallery Stroll - Last Friday of Every Month

Members of the Park City Gallery Association and The Kimball Arts Center host a Gallery Stroll, as community wide event on the last Friday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

During the Gallery Stroll, you’ll get a chance to participate in a showcase of artists, exhibitions, and other art events. Join locals and out-of-towners along Park City’s Main Street to take part in a free, self-guided art tour.

As a popular event on Park City’s Main Street, the gallery stroll takes place on the last Friday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Tour 17 different art galleries along the way and you’ll see why Park City has become one of the nation’s biggest art communities. The Park City Gallery Association sponsors this unique event once a month to give locals and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the work of local artists, special exhibits, and unique art events.

The various galleries that participate in the event each year include the following:

Fatali Gallery – The museum of photography.

Gallery MAR – Park City’s newest and freshest art gallery.

J GO Gallery – Representing contemporary art from the New West.

Julie Nester Gallery – Showcasing contemporary art in the form of paintings, photography, and sculptures.

The Kimball Art Center – Displaying various exhibitions, ranging from travelling museum collections to emerging local artists.

Lund Fine Art – Owned and operated by Allen Lund, the gallery is full of pieces created by talented family artists.

Mangelsen – Featuring images of nature photographed by legendary photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen.

Park City Film Series

As a non-profit organization in Park City, the Park City Film Series (PCFS) features the “best of the best” when it comes to independent films, documentaries, world and local cinemas.

Since October 1999, the PCFS has operated as an independent business that includes a small group of theaters representing 4% of all theaters nationwide. The film series gives avid movie goers a chance to view independent films that they don’t typically see on commercial movie screens.

Located on 1255 Park Avenue in Park City, the film series returns to the Jim Santy Theater in Park City, and organizers and volunteers are looking forward to an exciting 2016 season. Tickets are available at the door, and you can also purchase them online. General admission is $8.00 and $7.00 for students and seniors. You can also purchase a 10-day punch card for $65.00.

In collaboration with the Park City Library, members of the Park City Film Series engage young readers in the art of story telling through film. These free children’s films take place on the first Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at the Coalville Library. You and your kids can also view them on the first Saturday of each month and the Park City and Kimball Junction Libraries.

The PCFS also features programs for emerging filmmakers.

For example, the Annual Filmmakers Showcase show short films created by Utah based filmmakers over the course of three days. Each evening also includes a panel discussion with selected filmmakers and artists around selected themes.
