Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest

Deer Valley Ski Resort is the place to be this winter for many reasons, and the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest is one of them. For four days from December 4th-7th, the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest will host celebrities and Olympians alike for an all-day event full of socializing, delicious food, skiing, an awards ceremony and a live auction to benefit charity.

This year marks the 24th annual Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest which is a network hosted celebrity ski weekend drawing starts from television, film and the Olympic games to Deer Valley to ski, enjoy one another, participate in friendly competition and raise money for a good cause.

On Friday December 4th, start the evening out right with a welcome dinner for all and enjoy a couple hours of delicious food. Follow that up with a celebrity poker night to benefit the Waterkeeper Alliance which is an organization founded on providing drinkable, swimmable, fishable waterways throughout the world for the benefit of millions.

The following day will be full of fun with a Sponsor Breakfast with celebrities and Olympians, a PRO-AM training with the Olympians followed by a Pro-AM race with sponsors, celebrities & Olympians alike. Lunch, an Awards Ceremony, a Ski Party in the late afternoon, and an elegant Gala dinner and live auction will wrap up the day with a live concert by Dierks Bentley, Multi-Platinum entertainer at night.

Sunday’s Skifest activities continue with more training with celebrities and Olympians, a Celebrity Skifest race, a CBS Awards Ceremony and an evening to enjoy all the magic of Park City Utah in the middle of winter when the lights and nightlife of the city are at their peak.

Enjoy your final day at Skifest at the Deer Valley Resort enjoying the culture and beauty that put Park City on the map.  

 

FIL Luge World Cup and Nordic Combined Continental Cup


Luge athletes from over 30 different countries will be making their way to the Utah Olympic Park this 2015-2016 winter season to compete in the FIL Luge World Cup as the 3rd stop on the tour which includes 9 luge world cup competitions in 6 different countries.

December 11th and 12th will mark the spot on the circuit for Doubles, Men’s and Women’s events and the Olympic Park will also host the newly formed Sprint Cup Competition in which 15 of the top sliders will compete in timed one-run heat down the tract measuring 330 feet from the starting line.

Admission to the FIL Luge competition is free and there will also be a Holiday Festival which will take place in the lower loop of the track. The Holiday Festival includes free photos with Santa, holiday crafts, live music and food and beverages available to purchase from the Melty Way Food Truck. Holiday crafts will be available for participation on both Friday and Saturday from 4:30 until 6:30 pm.

Also taking place in Park City that weekend from Friday, December 11th to Sunday, December 13th, the FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cup will be taking place. The United States Ski & Snowboard Association as well as the Soldier Hollow Legacy Foundation will team up with the Utah Olympic Park to welcome competitors in the Continental Cup as they compete in the HS100 Trial Jump, the HS 100, and the 10 KM Gunderson three days in a row.

Swaner Holiday Art Market


The coming year marks the Seventh Annual Swaner Holiday Art Market, scheduled for the first week of December 2016. The Holiday Art Market highlights an array of locally produced artwork, including ceramics, photography, paintings, jewelry, and more. Utah artists display their wares for purchase, offering everything from small trinkets to larger gifts for your loved ones. These artists bring everything from small trinkets perfect for stocking stuffers to larger gifts, ideal for that special someone. How

The Swaner Ecocenter in Park City provides a great experience for locals and visitors to experience art and learn about the natural environment at the same time. Founded in 1993, the Swaner Ecocenter in Park City is also the home to a 1,200-acre Nature Preserve.

The event takes place on the first and second week of December 4-7 and December 11-14, 2016 at the Swaner Ecocenter, located at 1258 Center Drive in Park City. Join a large group of art enthusiasts and over 25 local artists at and intimate art show held in a beautiful Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) building

All of the art is submitted by local, independent artists and 25% of the proceeds go toward running programs and land conservation projects at the Swaner Econcenter. The Park City Wine Club will also host a wine tasting, and light refreshments will be served.
